Fitness Development Class (Post-Level 5, Alternative to Swim Team)
This class focuses on water polo and fin swimming. Water polo is a new sport and a new breed of swimmers. Although this sport is still in its infancy in the U.S., it’s spreading throughout the world. Fin swimming is a variation of swimming with roots in scuba diving and snorkeling. It involves the use of mono-fin, which is a two footed, single-bladed, porpoise-like fin that transforms a human being into a mermaid, a dolphin or whatever imagination brings to mind.

Success Stories
The aquatics department has received numerous thank you letters. Below are just some of the things our swimmers & parents are saying:
"I'd like to thank the people involved in the aquatics program for a great job. Lucero raised my daughter's self-esteem levels allowing her to improve tremendously. All the instructors are very loving and passionate towards the kids and their jobs. Thank you very Much" ~ wrote Andrea Ferreiro (8/19/03)
"Thank you so very much for all of your help and support in swim lessons for both my daughter and myself. As a parent and student of the aquatics program two years in a row, I can definitely see a marked improvement in the area of instruction and in the resolution of any problems that might arise...I find the staff there to be very courteous, supportive and helpful in resolving matter that concern both parents and students...This is why I am writing, because you have no idea of the gift you've given us in teaching us to swim. Words of gratitude do not seem nearly enough to express how my family and I feel. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for everything!" ~ wrote Mrs. D'Ta-Relle F. Tullis (8/13/03)
